«SENSIT» partners (SBICO-Poland, VORMINGPLUS LIMBURG-Belgium, Hypatia-Cyprus) met in Cyprus 2nd to 4th of April 2019, to identify good practices that are being implemented at local level, with the aim of adopting or exchanging some of them, for the above Erasmus+ project, concerning the integration of refugees.
Hypatia, Foundation Promoting Equality in Cyprus, hosted SBICO and VORMINGPLUS LIMBURG from 2nd to 4th of April, within «SENSIT» project. That was the 1st of the transnational meeting between the partners of SENCIT project (Erasmus+ program). The project is about finding and adopting good practises for refugees social inclusion.
On 16 June 2019, in Świętokrzyskie Park in the centre of Warsaw, the 5th Warsaw Diversity Days festival was held under the honorary patronage of the Ombudsman. It was the final of a week-long event related to multiculturalism and tolerance (workshops, debates, city games, film screenings, exhibitions etc.).
Vormingplus Limburg organizes all kind of activities in the free time of people. They want to make a social difference with their activities. That’s why they participate in an Erasmus+ project. In the week October 8-10 2019 organizations from Poland and Cyprus visited Vormingplus. Together they want to stimulate innovation and exchange good practices.
Many organizations in Flemish adult education are active in all kinds of European projects, including through the ERASMUS + actions. Contacts with Flemish organizations that participate in this show that European cooperation is innovative and stimulating; the impact of such a European project is great, both on course participants / adult learners and teachers / training workers / board members, as well as on their own organization.
Hypatia Foundation organized two consecutive communication events in March 2020 to promote the work accomplished in the SENCIT project funded under ERAMSMUS+ programme. The events where held at the Nicosia Municipal Multifunctional Foundation that coincided along with awareness building campaign to prevent and handle sexual harassment incidents for migrant women. The events highlighted practical suggestions and good practice on empowering migrant and refugee women.
